Commissioning a Mural


Stage 1 - Contact Me
Get in touch either by phone or email with your idea for a Mural.
We can chat about any questions you may have. From here
we can discuss a few ideas and arrange the first meeting......


Stage 2 - Meeting & Consultation
I will travel to the site where you are going to paint and bring my portfolio and an Ultra violet light to show samples of my fluorescent and traditional works in the flesh.... We will discuss what sort of effect or painting you are looking to have....I will also take photos of the site and share my thoughts or ideas for the wall or room in question. I do ask for travelling expenses to be covered for large distances.


Stage 3 - The Estimate and Designs
Once everything is agreed I require a £100 fee to produce sketches.
For each commission I provide up to three sketches, these will show a pencil drawing of the space and the murals talked about. These sketches also show different prices for each project, this I find helps people find the perfect mural that:
A: suit's your space
and B: fit's your budget...


Stage 4 - Getting started
Once we are agreed on a design I will require a signed approval and a
deposit at least one week before the agreed start date.
The deposit I require is the 1st payment of 50% of the agreed price
which covers the purchasing of materials and intial expenses.


Stage 5 - Preparation of room
It is usually a case of ensuring that the painted surface is smooth. I can do this but it
could be less expensive to get a local decorator in beforehand.


Stage 6 - The Mural
Once the design is finalised and the walls ready, I can start painting your mural !
I like to work for about 7 hours each day and sometimes this will
include evenings if we need to see the painting in a dark enviroment for
the ultra violet effect. I do bring a blackout material to block sunlight. This is
so I can paint in normal light and UV light to blend the effects and get both images looking great.


Stage 7 - Half Way
At this I require the 3rd quarter of the agreed price. By now you will be able to see the mural taking full shape and we will be moving into the detailing.

Stage 8 - Completion
Mural completed, job done, full payment and everybody is happy!
